This "Ukhamba" or beer basket is a bulb-shaped basket with a lid traditionally used to store the local brew. Made in South Africa by Ilala Weavers, the baskets have various designs. This size of basket averages a height of 7-9 inches. However some are tall and thin while others wide and not as tall. Each basket comes with an information card describing the meaning of the designs.
