The peace baskets or traditional sisal baskets measure about 10" high and have about a 6" opening.  The pattern on the peace baskets represent two women walking along a path, stopping to visit friends, and continueing on their journey. The tops are removable and these baskets were used for wedding celebrations, carry foods, storing herbs and other goodies, and they were even used to carry secrets from one woman to another. They are an exceptional quality basket, and helps support the woman basket weavers of Rwanda.
